“Today I have come to help you understand that to increase in any virtue, the soul must practice the virtue. Say, for instance, the soul needs to increase in patience. This is a very common deficit in modern society, as instant gratification is encouraged. In order to gain strength in the virtue of patience, the soul must not give in to impatience, for to do so weakens the virtue and strengthens the flaw.”

“It is so with every virtue. If a soul needs to trust more, I will give him many opportunities to trust Me so that he can increase in this virtue. It is always evil that tempts the soul away from virtue and into weakness. So you see, it is with free will the soul moves away from human weakness and becomes stronger in virtue–the building blocks of holiness.”
