St. Margaret Mary Alacoque

St. Margaret Mary Alacoque says: “Praise be to Jesus.”

“At last I have come to you, as Jesus allows, to speak to you about surrender. There are degrees of surrender just as there are degrees of holiness. Just as the depth of holiness is contingent upon the depth of Holy Love in the heart, the same is true of surrender. The most perfect surrender was in the Garden of Gethsemane when Jesus accepted His Father's Will over His Own. It is this surrender that all are called to imitate.”

“Everything that makes up surrender also comprises Holy Love. Therefore, in order to surrender to God's Will most completely, the soul must live for God and others. The one who surrenders to everything, accepting all as from the Hand of God, is humble and spiritually childlike. He does not take offense easily. He is always willing to make allowances and to forgive readily. He lives in the truth of Holy Love and readily recognizes Satan's lies. Therefore, he is not one to glorify his own opinions, but is open to listening to others.”

“Jesus will allow me to return soon with further details concerning surrender.”
