St. Thomas Aquinas

St. Thomas Aquinas says: “Praise be to Jesus.”

“I have come today to help you see that the ballast which keeps your spiritual ship afloat is humility. Humility in the heart is the defender of Holy Love in the heart. One does not exist without the other. Humility is Truth and the revelation of how the soul stands before God. There will come a moment in time when this same Truth will blanket the earth and reveal to each soul his true status before God. Some will perish in fright. Still others will be unable to accept this Truth. Only the Father knows the hour of this Universal Truth; but, souls must prepare their hearts in humility for this moment of grace.”

“Humility does not seek importance or the spotlight. It does not inflate its position in the world or seek compliments in regard to any of its works or actions. Humility shuns recognition for any of its accomplishments. The humble heart seeks the background and to be unnoticed.”

“As with any virtue, humility which is practiced to impress others is false. Humility needs to be hidden in a deep relationship with God – between the soul and the Heart of God.”

“It is easy to see how a lack of humility causes pain to the Mournful Heart of Jesus. Every sin transgresses Holy Love. Every sin arises out of pride. Pride is the arch-enemy of Holy Love and humility.”

“Pray that your heart is washed clean by humility every morning. Never believe yourself to be more than you are in God's Eyes.”
