“The test of Holy Love in every heart is trust. The soul must love before he can trust. Love is the foundation of every virtue, but most of all, love lays the groundwork for trust. How often you say, ‘I don't trust so and so!' Human frailties are the reason; but, if you love the weak person in Holy Love, then you are able to see that he is very capable of conversion, and you trust not so much in the person in question, but in My Grace to help him.”

“I cannot call anyone to heroic virtue if he does not first love and then trust in Me. The path of perfection has many obstacles, but the soul can and will persevere if he trusts in God's Will for him. The soul who trusts only in himself and human effort is ultimately insecure.”

“Do not place your trust in leaders too weak to depend upon God or who depend on false gods. The path they follow is the path to perdition. Trust is a sign of spiritual strength. Therefore, trust in God is a favorite target of the enemy. You cannot proceed through the Chambers of the United Hearts without Holy Trust. Pray for this virtue.”
