St. Thomas Aquinas

St. Thomas Aquinas comes. He says: “Praise be to Jesus. I have come to help you understand that since trust is the substance of your love of God as Jesus has revealed to you, it is lack of trust that opens the abyss between the soul and his Creator. What causes a heart to mistrust or falter in trust in God's Divine Plan, especially souls that are tethered securely to the Heart of their Savior through Divine Love?”

“First of all the soul fails to recognize that God's Will is also in the test of trust. The Lord tests each one's trust in Him as a way of strengthening the soul's love of Him. Secondly, the soul in the midst of the test begins to trust himself and his own efforts more than any plan God may have.”

“This is pride based on fear and insecurity. Begin, then, to see every trial is a test of your trust. If you persevere in trust through the assistance of grace, your love of God will be strengthened. If, however, you pull back through mistrust, the trial will be greater, and in the end such a soul will be weaker in his love of God.”
