St. Augustine of Hippo

(Conversion)

St. Augustine says: “Praise be to Jesus.”

“The most complete conversion holds no memory of wrongs inflicted upon self except to pray for the one guilty of wrongdoing. Unforgiveness holds the soul at arm's length from the All-Merciful God. Such a one cannot fully imitate God's Mercy and Love and, therefore, is not completely converted.”

“Selfishness always regards cost to self first and foremost, while the unselfish heart is always at the service of God and neighbor.”
