St. Thomas Aquinas

St. Thomas Aquinas says: “Praise be to Jesus.”

“I have come today to emphasize the importance of accepting and living in the truth. In Jesus' day, the Pharisees could not accept His profound teachings of truth. They placed themselves above the truth. They were not childlike enough to see the truth when it was given to them.”

“There are many reasons why people will not accept the truth and live in accord with it. Perhaps they would need to change their priorities – their convictions of heart or admit they are wrong. The truth of Holy Love calls for a change of lifestyle for many – placing love of God and neighbor at the center of their hearts; for some, this is a giant step in humility.”

“Yet the truth never changes to suit personality or preference. It is always the truth – always the same. It remains a common denominator in every conversion – always calling the prodigal son back to reality.”

“This is the challenge of today. For if every heart lived in the truth, every heart would be converted; then you would have peace in the world.”
