St. Therese of Lisieux - (the 'Little Flower')

St. Therese, the Little Flower, says: “Praise be to Jesus.”

“I have returned, as promised, with words concerning humility. The soul who seeks deeper holiness must seek deeper humility. True humility does not consider cost to self, but always places God and others first.”

“Humility is Truth itself. Therefore, the humble soul can look with honesty into his own heart. In doing so, he recognizes, not only his failings, but also his strong points. He is willing to risk his reputation for the sake of helping others. Consequently, he is not afraid to justly correct someone if he sees them in spiritual error.”

“In truth, the humble soul does not rash judge. He never sees his opinion as judge and jury. He opens his heart to the facts. He humbly makes allowances. He never presumes to have perfect discernment.”

“Humility has many aspects. The truly humble person never sees himself as humble, but always seeks to be humble.”
