Feast of St. Francis of Assisi
St. Francis of Assisi

St. Francis says: “Praise be to Jesus.”

“The truly poor in spirit, sister, have divested themselves of their own will. In this way they pay no heed as to how others perceive them. They understand they are only what they are in the Eyes of God, for the Lord looks past all pretense into the heart.”

“This is the essence of the Mission here–to allow Holy Love which is God's Will to completely possess the heart, thereby having no self-interest in thought, word or deed.”

St. Francis says: “Praise be to Jesus.”

“The Lord [as he says this, a light shines around him] desires to work with every soul towards acceptance of His Most Perfect and Holy Divine Will, whether it be the cross or victory. All events are woven together towards this end.”

“You are asking me what it means to be poor in spirit. This means detachment from anything of the world – be it riches, power, reputation, human intelligence or the like.”

“Holy Love calls souls to be poor in spirit.”

“I have come to assist souls deeper into personal holiness. No one can progress deeper into the United Hearts without going deeper into Holy Love and Holy Humility. These two – humility and love – are the key into the deepest recesses of the United Hearts.”

“Therefore, souls need to pray daily that these virtues are strengthened, and to discover any weaknesses therein. Once again, I point out that self-knowledge lights the way on the pathway of holiness. Do not waste the present moment looking at your neighbor's faults. Pray for the Holy Love and Holy Humility to look into your own heart.”

“Always remain little, childlike, simple and humble. This is the way to be poor in spirit. The soul can achieve this by avoiding keeping himself and his own welfare at the center of his thoughts, words and actions – indeed, at the center of his existence.”

“Always remain recollected in your spirit. In that way, your presence, your being, emanate Holy Love without preaching words.”

“Truly I tell you, the heart intent on pleasing and impressing man is far from the Kingdom of God. Such a soul is easily compromised. True poverty surrenders every choice to the Will of God, holding back nothing for himself.”

“These days, evil has taken over hearts through a disordered self-love aimed at pleasing self above all others and disregarding God and His Laws.* Free will has become its own God.”

“To live in Holy Love means to allow God complete dominion over your heart – always conceding to His Laws.”

“Always remain childlike, simple and unassuming. I have come today to speak to you about Purgatory, * since today is the day of the indulgence of Portiuncula.”

“Purgatory is different for every soul. The soul may commit the same sin as another and yet his Purgatory may be completely different according to his propensity to serve self or God. The one who slips into sin without remorse and does not repent until his deathbed suffers greatly in the flames of Purgatory . The one who is weak in sin, but tries to overcome his faults suffers less.”

“There are many in the world today who love their own opinions above and beyond what is good and what is evil. They do not recognize Satan's influence over them. These are the ones who suffer gravely their separation from Divine Love in Purgatory .”

“Be renewed in this indulgence today so that you will be innocent in the Eyes of God. Try to avoid Purgatory at all costs in an effort to always please God first and foremost.”
