My husband and I have 3 beautiful and healthy daughters. We never considered praying for a son as we were always so thankful for our family. However, when I visited HolyLove in June of '09, I found myself alone at the St. Joseph shrine praying for just that with tears in my eyes. St. Joseph has always been so good to our family. I pray to Our Blessed Lady always for the world, but for some reason our family has turned to St. Joseph for practical matters. I prayed with all my heart to love God's Will first, but that if we did have a little son, his name would be Joseph. I became pregnant in November. Joseph Carl was born August 17, 2010. When we found out we were having a son, my husband wanted to name him John. I had to tell him of my promise to St. Joseph. Instead of arguing over names, we agreed to let God reveal his name to us. Two days later an old billfold of my husbands was found with 2 items in it. (1) a picture of our family and (2) an old CPR certification card with my husband's name mispelled to spell Joseph. There were other signs as well.
The ways of God are indeed amazing. I am so happy to see that St. Joseph will appear on the eve of his Feast Day in 2011. If I cannot be there, I will be on my knees at home at midnight thanking St. Joseph and praying for sanctification of families. Praise to Jesus!
